PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The transport sector contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions in Switzerland. Electrification of passenger transport therefore plays a key role in achieving climate targets. Charging infrastructure is thus becoming the focus of public debate, particularly in the private sector. The right to charge, which has been passed by parliament, is intended to facilitate the expansion of private charging points in apartment buildings.

The study provides an overview of the existing charging infrastructure, analyzes the existing incentives for its expansion, examines the right to charge in detail, and reviews other funding approaches for their effectiveness.

METHODOLOGY

  • Literature review
  • Descriptive data analysis
  • Comparative cost-benefit analysis
